We never set out to build a traditional hotel.

No grand lobby, no distance, no unnecessary extras. Instead, we focused on what actually matters, a place that feels right from the moment you walk in, without the stiffness you might expect. It’s a boutique hotel experience designed around comfort, character, and ease.

A building with a story.

FINCH is a boutique hotel in the heart of Deventer, set in a listed monument on the Keizerstraat, just a short walk from the station and in the city centre. The building dates back to 1871, when it opened as Hotel De Keizer, connecting the city to the newly built railway. People met here, stayed, and returned.

Later, the hotel made way for a bank. A different purpose, but the same character remained and the quiet presence of the building. Today, it’s a hotel again. 31 rooms, a bar at its centre, and a place that feels as if it was always meant to welcome people.
